Sir Edward Potier-Jones
Integrated Behavioral Health Program Manager & Outreach Coordinator (QMHP)
Bettered, Not Broken is a behavioral health initiative led by Sir Edward, Integrated Behavioral Health Program Manager & Outreach Coordinator (QMHP). Rooted in the Dallas–Fort Worth community, Bettered, Not Broken transforms personal adversity into collective healing by addressing the mental and emotional well-being of underserved populations. The focus is especially on men navigating trauma, identity, and resilience.

With a background in Clinical Psychology and Counseling, Sir Edward brings clinical insight and lived experience to the forefront of outreach. The program offers therapeutic support, psychoeducational workshops, and culturally responsive community engagement that empowers individuals to heal, grow, and lead. Through strategic partnerships and grassroots mobilization, Bettered, Not Broken has become a trusted space for behavioral health advocacy, mentorship, and transformation.

Daniel Gonzalez III
President
Daniel Gonzalez III serves as Board Chair of Bettered, Not Broken, leading with purpose and a commitment to redefining masculinity through mental health advocacy and community support. Born in El Paso and raised in DFW, he balances family, studies, and his role at a Fortune 500 company. Born with Bilateral Microtia and raised in a traditional Hispanic household, Daniel overcame cultural barriers to embrace vulnerability. His leadership helps men heal, grow, and break generational cycles through mentorship, openness, and empowerment.

Naomi Ekubia is a UK-based leader with expertise in service delivery, project management, and team development. As Service Delivery Manager at Pearson, she drives operational efficiency and empowers teams to deliver results. Known for her strategic and empathetic leadership, Naomi fosters trust and growth through structure and communication. Michael Rodriguez
Treasurer
Michael Rodriguez is a proud Louisianian and board member of Bettered, Not Broken. A graduate of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a BA in Political Science, he serves as District Director for Fort Worth’s District 4 and as a Machine Gunner in the USMC Reserves. Raised in a large Christian family, Michael’s path of service led him from mission work to military deployment in Afghanistan, where he supported evacuees during the 2021 crisis. After facing personal struggles upon returning home, he rebuilt through faith, family, and community. Today, he serves with purpose, helping others rise through adversity.

Jessika Anderson
Secretary
Jessika Anderson is a Regional Manager with over a decade of experience in housing and leasing, overseeing communities across Dallas–Fort Worth. A survivor of domestic violence and caregiver to her father, she brings deep empathy and resilience to her work. Jessika connects families with safe, stable housing, often through programs that support those in need. As a mother of three, she understands the power of home and healing. Through Bettered, Not Broken, she advocates for growth and hope, proving that with strength and purpose, better days are always within reach.

Dr. Fred Fuentes
Event & Attendee Coordinator
Dr. Fred Fuentes, originally from Corpus Christi, is a U.S. Army veteran who served with Military Police Battalions across the Americas. He holds degrees and certificates from institutions including Texas A&M, University of Michigan, and Harvard. As a USAID Fellow, he led HIV/AIDS education efforts in Guatemala and Honduras, later serving in Washington, D.C. He now works as Executive Director for University Partnerships. Beyond his professional impact, Dr. Fred has fostered over 15 children, two of whom are now part of his permanent family—reflecting his deep commitment to service and community.

Logan McGee
Group Coordinator
Logan McGee is a Fort Worth native and former collegiate athlete whose journey from addiction to recovery fuels his passion for helping others. After choosing sobriety in August 2023, he became Assistant House Manager at ASIC Recovery and launched a lawncare business employing individuals fresh out of treatment. Logan also works full time as an automotive technician at HILEY Autogroup. At Bettered, Not Broken, he coordinates support groups and workshops that foster emotional growth and honest dialogue. His story is a testament to resilience, purpose, and building a life of impact through recovery.
